Middle & High School Teacher
English + Social Studies + History

This is my 24th year as an EC teacher. I’ve taught in NYC, Los Angeles CA, and now North Carolina in various capacities. This is my first year at LWTBS. I will be the middle school homeroom teacher. I will also be teaching MS ELA and Social Studies. As well as HS English and History.

I’ve been married for 15 years. My husband and I have two children. My son Ameer is 14 and my daughter Ayah is 11. We have a dog named Arya and the newest addition to the family is Nugget, our crested gecko, who joined our family in July.

Besides teaching and supporting children and families within the ASD community, I love Hip-Hop culture, plants and flowers, eating ice-cream, drinking coffee and reading great books.
