Board Certified Behavior Analyst/ Licensed Behavior Analyst
Lisa received a Bachelor’s of Science in Special Education from Buffalo State College in 1995. After graduation, Lisa began working as a Special Education teacher at the Children’s Unit for Treatment and Evaluation in Binghamton, NY, using traditional ABA. From there Lisa went on to obtain her Master of the Arts in Early Childhood Education from New York University in 1997, focusing her studies on sensory integration and inclusion. Lisa then moved to NJ where she worked in private and public schools as a Special Education Teacher and Education Consultant, supporting school personnel and supervising home programs.
Not stopping there, Lisa continued furthering her education to include Verbal Behavior strategies through workshops led by Dr. Vincent Carbone, and received monthly supervision directly from his clinic for two years. Lisa moved to NC in 2007 and obtained her BCBA through Florida Institute of Technology in 2008. She currently works as an Education Consultant for schools and home-based programs providing education and behavior support to individuals with ASD, their staff and families. She is also a part-time BCBA with Learn with the Best’s ABA Clinic.
While at LWTB, Lisa has studied PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) by attending Level 1 and Level 2 training through Pyramid Educational Consultants. She uses her combined knowledge of Verbal Behavior and PECS to help her students learn to communicate and to achieve their potential.
