Life Skills and Academic Middle -
High School Class
Grounded in ABA theory, this classroom setting is for middle - high school students who are non-verbal and those who have mastered the fundamentals of language, but still need direct instruction to increase pragmatic-based communication and receptive / expressive language.
Students in this classroom will also be receiving individualized one-on-one and small group instruction in all core academic areas. A transitional life skills curriculum will be implemented to begin introducing and reinforcing the seven critical domains for adult living. This course is led by, the Amazing, Maisha.
Middle & High School Life Skills Curriculum
Progress is measured through teacher data, quizzes and tests.
- Progress reports are sent home twice yearly.
- in the winter and in the spring
- Parent conferences are held at this time and are also available as needed by parent or teacher request.
