I am excited to be entering my first year at LWTBS which will be my 25th year as a professional educator.

I have taught science and math in a variety of educational settings, in four states (OH, NJ, CA, NC) earning several additional certifications toward helping students with unique learning challenges. I have coached track (Charlotte Observer Men’s Track Coach of the Year, Lake Norman Herald Women’s Track Coach of the Year) and robotics (FLL and First Tech), and was a NC Educator of Excellence Award recipient. I am always looking for opportunities to improve and grow professionally.

Married to my lovely wife for 26 years, I enjoy hiking, kayaking, and rock climbing. I also enjoy playing piano, acoustic guitar and harmonica. My favorite place to hike and climb is Yosemite National Park. I am a life-long learner and voracious reader, especially the science fiction fantasy genre.
