RBT - Registered Behavior Technician
Melanie grew up with her family on the rocky coast of southern Maine. Creative at heart, she spent many hours as a small child playing school with her younger sister, where structured "school days" included teaching and grading handwritten math lessons, leading dance performances to the Shrek soundtrack, and recess.
She moved to Asheville, North Carolina in 2011, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Warren Wilson College. Melanie moved to Greenville, South Carolina in 2017. There, she began her Master of Social Work at the University of South Carolina. She simultaneously began her career in behavioral health as a Registered Behavior Technician. It was then that she fell in love with the science of ABA and the art of teaching children.
Melanie loves finding each child's spark, or motivation, which she then harnesses for joyful learning. She strongly believes in the power of applied behavior analysis to make positive change. Melanie is excited to continue studies and become a BCBA.
