Registered Behavior Technician
Born in Ghana, Africa, Leo moved to Fairfax, Virginia at the age of 10. She then moved to Raleigh, NC in 2008. She attended Louisburg College where she obtained her Associates Degree in Science. Next, she attended East Carolina University, Go Pirates! Arrrgh!! where she obtained her Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in Health Service Management. Upon graduating in 2014, she worked in a clinic specializing in clients with ADD/ADHD, Autism and Dyslexia.
In February 2015, Leo began her journey towards earning her Master’s Degree in Psychology with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis at Kaplan University. Also, in 2015, she earned her certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). Leo has experience doing small group and one-on-one instruction, in-home services as well as working with clients in both clinical and school settings. Her diverse experience expands to children with special needs ages 3 to 17.
In October of 2017, Leo obtained her Master’s Degree in Psychology-ABA. Her next goal is to attend UNC, Duke or ECU doctoral program to obtain her PsyD and become a child psychologist specializing in children with Autism.
As a person born in Africa, with high poverty rates and lack of help for children with disabilities, she knows how vital it is to provide education and day-to-day help to children with special needs. With her faith, education, and experience, she has a great passion for children with disabilities and all children in general. She lives to serve, help, love and provide great care to all of her clients.
