Gabrielle - Elementary Teacher

Gabrielle grew up in West Virginia, where she acquired her Master’s in Education at West Virginia University with specializations in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, and Special Education with an additional endorsement in Autism. She is currently enrolled in the Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) coursework at the Florida Institute of Technology to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

In the past, Gabrielle has taught in several special education placements, serving students with multiple disabilities in inclusive settings. Since moving to North Carolina in 2013, Gabrielle worked as the lead teacher in a self-contained Autism Level I structured teaching classroom for students with autism ranging from Kindergarten through second grade. In her position, she worked to help her students achieve independence throughout their daily school routine, communication, social skills, functional living skills, and academics. She has always enjoyed working with students with special needs and has a passion for providing her students with high quality instruction, as well as a safe and nurturing learning environment that fosters independence and growth.

She believes that all children have the potential to achieve success, and that it is her job to figure out how to help them achieve it!
