Dr. Caroline Hexdall
ABA Clinic Consultant
Having received her Bachelor of Arts and Education Specialist Degrees in Psychology at the University of Kansas, Dr. Hexdall went on to further her education at the University of South Carolina - Columbia to earn a Doctor of Philosophy in School Psychology.
Dr. Hexdall is a licensed psychologist and health services provider (HSP-P) who provides psychological services, including evaluation, therapy and consultation, to children, adolescents, young adults, and their families.
After working as a consultant for school psychology for the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NC DPI) and as a clinical scientist / licensed psychologist for the Carolina Center for Developmental Disabilities (CIDD), she decided to open her own practice. Wanting to return to the rewards of clinical work grounded in mindfulness, while continuing to make meaningful and positive change for all, Dr. Hexdall founded the Center for Mindful Development in 2013.
Dr. Hexdall first learned of mindfulness during a pivotal experience while using Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) with individuals with developmental disabilities who suffered from emotion regulation difficulties. She then began on a path of practicing mindfulness personally and professionally, finding it especially beneficial during all moments of parenting.
She continues to broaden her services to include parent support groups and parenting classes. She looks forward to helping you and your family learn, grow, and be well.
